Human Rights Policy
We, the CBC Group, recognize that respect for human rights is one of the most important issues in realizing our corporate philosophy of “Co-existence and Co-prosperity/Dream Together.” We hereby establish the CBC Human Rights Policy and will promote initiatives to respect human rights in accordance with this policy, thereby contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.
1. Governance Related to This Policy The top management will be responsible for supervising initiatives related to this policy, which will be implemented throughout the CBC Group.
2. Scope of Application of This Policy
This policy applies to all officers and employees of the CBC Group.
We also expect all stakeholders in the value chain of the CBC Group's business activities to implement human rights initiatives in accordance with this policy.
3. Respect for Human Rights
We respect human rights as recognized internationally in documents such as the International Bill of Human Rights and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and we will promote initiatives to respect human rights based on the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
We will also comply with the laws and regulations of each country and region where we conduct business activities. In cases where there is a conflict between internationally recognized human rights and the laws and regulations of the countries and regions where we conduct business activities, we will seek to find ways to maximize respect for internationally recognized human rights.
We will identify particularly important human rights issues that may arise in our business activities and work to resolve them.
4. Human Rights and Diversity We will not engage in any form of unfair discrimination or harassment based on race, gender, ethnicity, religion, nationality, age, or any other reason. We will not engage in any form of human trafficking, forced labor, or child labor, nor will we contribute to any human rights violations. We will respect the rights of all workers in our value chain with regard to working conditions and the work environment.
5. Efforts Related to Human Rights Due Diligence We will establish and continuously implement a human rights due diligence system to identify, assess, prevent, and mitigate adverse impacts on human rights in our business activities.
6. Remediation, Remedy, and Dialogue with Stakeholders
We will take appropriate measures to remedy any adverse impacts on human rights that we have caused or contributed to, when such impacts become apparent.
We will also engage in dialogue and consultation with stakeholders and strive to establish and appropriately operate a contact point for receiving consultations and reports regarding adverse impacts on human rights.
7. About Education and Disclosure
We will provide appropriate education to employees to ensure that this policy is incorporated into and implemented in our business activities.
We will also appropriately disclose information regarding our efforts to respect human rights.

7. Information Management We will not infringe on intellectual property rights such as patents and trademarks, and will handle properly all information obtained in the course of business with the utmost care to protect privacy and prevent leakage.
8. Environmental Management We will respond to environmental issues such as climate change, biodiversity, and environmental pollution to preserve the global environment, and will strive to reduce energy, water, and resource consumption, as well as greenhouse gas emissions and waste.
