CBC Co.,Ltd (Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Masataro Doi, hereinafter "CBC") has obtained certification from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) as of March 11, 2025. This certification verifies that CBC's greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets align with the levels required by the Paris Agreement, based on scientific validation.
Reduction Targets:
• Scope 1 + Scope 2: Reduce emissions by 58.8% by 2034, compared to the base year 2022.
• Scope 3: Ensure that 80% of suppliers set emission reduction targets by 2029, based on the base year 2022.
Moving forward, CBC will continue to drive sustainability initiatives across the entire group, including efforts to combat climate change through the achievement of these GHG reduction goals.
